Tenement Flat Renovation, Glasgow, 2006
A dilapidated ground floor tenement flat in Glasgow city required a sensitive approach for full re-design of the existing interior and restoration to the property.
Being in a state of disrepair the flat was stripped back to its shell leaving only the existing floor joists, structural walls & existing ornate cornicing. From there cornicing was restored to it's original state, all floors were insulated, replaced & refinished, walls were insulated and drylined, windows were restored. As much as possible the Flat retained its original form, however, modern techniques were applied to the kitchen in with a feature ceiling, wall & window Ingo giving the space a new lease of life & character.
Eoghain Fiddes carried out the design, project management and all work to the property.
