Cluny

Cluny project comprised of a full renovation and extension to an existing  single storey 1970's  dwelling  in the picturesque town of Banchory, Aberdeenshire.

The exterior was fully modernised using Scottish larch cladding to the building facade, new roof  with  Quartz Zinc finish and hidden gutter system which also wrapped down the walls on part elevations. Demolition of the existing attached garage was re-built in timber frame and finished in a white render to the east with an additional bedroom and bathroom to the south.

The sloping topography of the site provided opportunity to excavate the existing south garden to open basement level with raised decking above with glazed barrier providing views to the towns landmark Scolty hill.
