Fiddes Architects are working with Dimension Homes to design and gain planning for the erection of 3 new detached dwelling houses at Melville Road, Eskbank, Dalkeith, Midlothian.
The goal is to revitalize this brownfield site which has been previously neglected, while also creating a development with architectural merit, which enhances the natural character and contribute to the overall beauty of the area.
The proposed planning is for 3 moderately sized family dwellings with integrated garages and includes topographical alterations to the site.
The design of the proposed dwellings are modern while incorporating many features and details that provide a relation back to the areas historical industrial vernacular. We believe this creates a unique and interesting blend of old and new, and helps the dwelling to feel grounded and connected to its surroundings.
