Strathyre is located in an established residential street in Aberdeenshire. The clients were keen to modernise this 2 storey pink granite property to maximise their living accommodation and improve the aesthetic of the existing external façade and the internal flow of their home.


This comprised of full renovation of the property and demolition and replacement of garage with kitchen and living space accessed via a short run stair to accommodate the split level design. The existing ground floor layout was extended and reconfigured to provide additional bedroom and living room to the south.


All windows were replaced with Aluclad  windows, a white silicone render and grey larch horizontal cladding modernised the exterior. Zinc roofing on the north flat roof kitchen/living extension.  A new entrance leads you to a now welcoming vestibule that provides a central point to lead you to the family living spaces and private accommodation
