As part of a Feu split planning application Thistle Bank is a new build family dwelling, located in what was originally the extensive garden grounds to a traditional Banchory West home.

The new detached dwelling takes on a similar form and roof pitch to the adjacent historic building but uses more contemporary materials and detailing to purposely contrast but not detract so that it may sit sympathetically within the site.
